Scottland

HardhøstA delicious aroma- as a matter of fact, one of the best beer-fragrances I’ve ever put my nose in. Fruity as hell. Starts with a one-of-it’s-kind fresh introduction, followed by a super-fruity and a little sweet middle. Clear references to citrusfruit as well as pineapple. Thereafter, a fine, sharp and bitter aftertaste.
DogmaNose is coffee and dates. The texture is light, and the brew in general tastes good: Mature, sweet and dephts of fruityness. A fine, dark beer which balances on the borderline between a black IPA and a light porter.

Clearly malty aroma. Soft entrance, with a light, nutty body in where malts reaches a peak. The taste does however let go a bit too sudden… Leaving you with a sense of hurry if one really wants to take the flavours of it all in, even though the beer in itself actually tastes good.

Black in colour, and lightflowing/thin. Fragrance of roasted coffee. A generous dash of sweetness that suits the coffee well, topped with a hint of liqurice. Long and bitter end- it kind of gives assocciations to Dark Horizon 4, and the alcohol content contributes to give the demanded power to the taste. Great stuff.

BlackfriarFruity and mature aroma of malts. The colour is dark red/brown, somewhat warm. The taste is highly round and well balanced, where the first thing to hit is the rustique fruityness, followed by a delicious sweetness that slowly evolves in a bitter direction. It somehow gives the impression of being a little fresh at the same time as the maturity is prsent throughout.

FraochThe aroma points in the direction of sour herbs. The acidity is strenghtened in the moment it hits the tongue, which quickly transforms into a taste of herbs. This section dominates together with a lesser good degree of sourness until the end.

EbulumSubtle smell of coffee and toffee. Not in a fresh way, but the massive maltbody quickly shows it’s presence. A somewhat nut- and berry-like feature can also be identified, with a hint of spices. The beer also has a nice degree of maturity that lasts for a long time.

AlbaThis is very sweet stuff. Almost artificial aroma to it. In taste however, it’s still very sweet but combined with some sour- almost like a fruitjuice.

HoppyXmasThere’s small hints from the hops to detect. The beer is light colourwise and light in concistency. Hardly (if any at all)  any references to christmas in this one, but to a certain extent still fruity. Medium freshness and a mild bitterness.

imageJudging by the nose, we’re in for a pleasant journey herre. It seems to be a fine beer, nice fruityness and a light golden colour. Tastewise, this has a great freshness to it and great fruit (apple?) in addition to the mild, super hops, This is really well balanced beer, absolutely delicious.
